spreading some spanish love...
this weekend we were lucky enough to not only have mum and dad here in town, but also my bubbly sister taryn and her husband cody as well. cody was a surprise visitor and we couldn't have been more thrilled for him to come along and soak up some of the glorious spanish rays and the enchanting old town of palma.
with the boat being so close to starting the summer season we were not able to get any additional time off so we had to make the most of the later afternoons (lucky for us its now warming up and daylight savings has kicked in. winning.) and evenings and the little amount of weekend that we had.
with their days full up with everything from hop on and hop off bus tours, renting scooters and venturing into the surrounding hills as well as walking the pavement we were able to show the famalia some of our local haunts for dinner and drinks as well as enjoy the beautiful place de cort, its buskers and the fine cocktails at hotel cort (which by the way was also where we got to enjoy some sangrias with our good friend tom who docked on a cruise ship into palma for a mere few hours, so the weekend surprises kept on coming…).
we had such a wonderful and restful weekend which is precisely what we needed with our yachting life extremely busy and chaotic; none the less - thanks for coming guys, you made our month!
