to say its warm in fort lauderdale is an understatement. this past week we have experienced 28-30 degree celsius heat and almost 100% humidity. its hot from dawn till dusk and it takes a lot of getting used to. perhaps it seems uncomfortable for us both as we have missed a few australian summers and we feel a little out of practise.
our training this past week was more hectic than we anticipated and we were in the classroom from eight-12 hours per day. not at all the five-six hour days we had in mind with a lunch time swim at the beach and copious amounts of free time for yoga, beers and networking. non-the-less we are finding our groove.
we have certainly met some amazing people from all walks of life and we are really enjoying getting to know people (some over drinks, some whilst at the beach and other we bump into at the laundromat). i am sorry for the lack of updates but we have been so busy this past week finding our bearings. below are a mixture from a few small trips to the beach, kurts morning cuban coffee drive-through airstream, the local farmers markets and us out on betty (our beloved red scooter).
